Do you have a website(s) that works and has years of traffic but just isn't bringing in the sales you had planned - based on your costs? We are interested in acquisitions of unique websites what would integrate into our family of sites and current business model.
Let me explain our idea.
Years ago, people thought if you built an Internet website with a popular name or following, that meant it automatically had a high-worth and could be sold easily for thousands or millions of dollars - regardless of the revenue brought in. That turned out to be harder than winning the lottery for most websites. Well then economy really changed and product sales of sites as well as the price of websites themselves fell. For site buyers the perceived real value of most small websites is a minute fraction of the "glory days" value of just a few years ago. The high rollers that could empty the retirement fund, get big investor and bank loans are gone. The additional cost of turning low-producing but high-potential website(s) into a money makers is thousands of dollars and hundreds of (or even a thousand) hours of skilled labor before you see any real improvement at least 10-24 months later.
So the common choice for most web owners is to:
A. Shut down the site and throw away all the hard work and traffic.
B. Hear the insult of having a sererous potential buyer say that years of your hard work on a site are only worth a few hundred dollars.
C. Keep the site, make few, if any small changes and hope that the site will become more than a hobby some day.
Theses options made us think of a new idea that we think could be fair for both sides.
Here are the steps we propose:
1. You confidentially present your site(s) and/or business for us to look at.
2. Show us it's potential for making sales.
3. We conclude that we could turn the site around by adding it to our current successful line up of websites and product lines.
4. Create a royalty/ownership deal whereby we take over the costs and maintenance of the site, rebuild and improve it to generate sales. We provide fulfillment, marketing, accounting services etc. and pay you a royalty until the agreed upon price is reached. We can provide reports and share tracking information to you to clearly see the progress and accounting of royalties.
Pros for you:
The existing site, traffic and years of work is not wasted
No more costs and labor for you
Potential for royalties for years to come based upon the sites performance.
Using the skills and resources of others (CMS, Inc) to see improvement and continuation for your site and hard work.
CMS, Inc would sign a non-disclosure form in reviewing to see if this would be a go fit for both parties
Pros for us:
Not having to create a domain from scratch to increase traffic and sales
Faster to generate profits by adding our improved SEO, marketing and business procedures.
Motivated to be more effective as this becomes a "pay for performance" model in the risk with our time and money.
If this idea leaves you intrigued, please feel free to send us an email and/or give us a call and we can discuss this further.
